1. Our services

Genesis Web Design ("we", "us") designs, builds, and hosts websites for businesses ("you"). The scope of your site and your monthly fee are confirmed in writing, and email counts, before work begins.

2. Free site build

We build your initial site at no charge. In exchange, you agree to the monthly hosting and maintenance fee that starts on the day your site goes live, subject to the cancellation terms below.

3. Monthly fee

The fee is a flat amount agreed in writing and billed monthly in advance. It covers hosting, SSL security, uptime monitoring, and an agreed number of content updates. Requests beyond that are quoted separately. If a payment is late, we may suspend your site after notice until the balance is paid.

4. Launch guarantee and cancellation

We aim to launch your site within 3 days after you approve your draft. If we miss that date, your first month is free. If you cancel within 30 days of launch, you owe nothing. After that, service is month to month, and you can cancel any time by emailing us. Service ends at the end of your current billing period.

5. Your content

You confirm that you have the right to use all text, images, and logos you give us, and that they are accurate. You are responsible for any claims arising from content you supply.

6. Ownership

You own your business name, logo, content, and domain name. We keep ownership of the site design, code, and templates while you are on a plan. If you cancel, we will give you a copy of your content on request, and a transfer of the site files can be arranged by agreement.

7. Hosting and availability

We use reasonable efforts to keep your site online and secure, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Outages caused by third-party providers are outside our control.

8. No guarantee of results

We do not guarantee any particular search ranking, traffic level, or number of customers or sales.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use our services after an update means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Your State], without regard to conflict of law rules.
